The TSU Faculty of Law Dean Associate Professor Tamar Zarandia and Deputy Dean Associate Professor Giorgi Dgebuadze met the representatives of the Free University of Berlin (FUB) – Tobias Stüdemann - Director of the Eastern European Office; Professor Theocharis Grigoriadis – Head of the FUB and TSU joint study program (DESK) and Andrea Weiss – Tutor of the program.
During the meeting, the discussion centered around enhancing collaboration among the law faculties of the universities, promoting internationalization initiatives, and advancing the implementation of joint scientific projects.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed the ongoing assessment and discourse about a one-year joint study program - "Germany in the South Caucasus: Institutions and Development" (DESK) - carried out in cooperation with the Free University of Berlin’s Institute for Eastern European Studies and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU).
The program is designed to promote international academic and personal exchange between Germany and Georgia in the context of German and European legal and economic sciences. It should be noted that during the academic year 2023-2024, numerous students of the TSU Faculty of Law are enrolled in the study program.
